9'' Android 8.1 Car Radio GPS Navigation Multimedia System*
Specs: 8 Cores, 2GB Ram, 32GB Rom, CANBus

*Note: This system is advertised and sold for a Sienna 2018.

I bought this radio based mostly on the price. I expected some issues to arise and the did. Everything was plug and play, you don't have to cut anything from the oem wire harness. The only cable you have to splice(on the provided plug) is the brown/reverse cable to the white cable labeled ccd-v. That's for the reverse trigger for the oem camera.

    Working:
    Steering Controls
    Backup Camera
    Radio, sound really strong now
    Auxiliary Video
    Miles per gallon, fuel consumption
    TPMS
    Door status, open/close
    GPS -came with the unit
General android stuff -maps, YouTube, etc.
Auto lock setting, shift from parking or speed(Probably canbus compatibility) -Fixed using OBD2 via Carista App.
Alarm beep feedback.(Probably canbus compatibility) -Fixed using OBD2 via Carista App.
Reverse camera now shows trajectory, but is inverted (maybe a setting is missing) -Fixed, can be corrected via Settings->Factory(pass 3368)->Original Car Agreement->Reversing Track Reversal=On

    Not working/sort of working
Some screens (Car Info app) still showing Celsius and kilometers(The unit reads the units Miles and Fahrenheit from the car settings, a few apps don’t show them) -Not really important

Nice, I was looking at the joying one for the corolla, pretty much the same as you have, but with a volume knob.

Can you get some videos of how it works.

Some more pictures of the installations. I will be posting a video showing the flow of the interface later.

    Installations issues:
I had to improvise with some washers in order to improve the fit of the stock mounting brackets to the unit.

anymore on this? My factory head unit just dies anytime I am offload and resets. Has been doing this since day one, they fixed it with an update which lasted about a month or two

So far the unit is working fine(there is room for improvement). The radio sound strong, the eq really works. Now the Polk speakers an the Kicker tweeters are doing their work. I am using Car Launcher AG as my default launcher and Head-unit Reloaded for Android Auto. You can run also run any Android app directly on the head-unit if you want. I tested my wife's iphone via zlink app for a few minutes and it worked(no dongle required). I will try to post more information later. If you have any specific question feel free to ask.

    Hi,
Their ebay store is NEXTNAV Car Radio GPS Navigation. They don't seem to have a listing for the unit currently. I guess you can contact them. The original listing description was " 9'' Android 8.1 Car Radio GPS Navigation Multimedia System for Toyota Sienna"

Awesome post, good to see some new options. Do you feel that this HU covers all of the factory information relatively well? Looks good in there!

    Audio Stuff:
    -Radio AM,FM(RDS)->Yes
-Equalizer 30 bands, it really works->Yes
    -Media Players, Video and MP3->Yes

    Video Stuff:
-It has an additional video input(front cam, dvr etc)

    Apple Car Play:
-It works via ZLINK app no dongle require(Tested briefly)->Yes

    Android Auto:
-3rd party app Head Unit Reloaded $5, used daily->Yes

    General Android Stuff:
-Widget are fixed, you can add more but you cannot remove the default ones.
-Install apps from the Play Store.->Yes

    -Works like a regular tablet.

    CAN Bus Interface.
-When the radio is started the first time it changes the units to Kilometers and the color preferences on the truck. Had to change them on the config using the right steering pad.
-Door lock behavior can be configured in the head unit(except the beep feed back and the auto lock when shifting fro P to D.) I fixed it using Carista/OBD2.

    Bluetooth

-Bluetooth media player also really basic.
-The ringtone is really loud and so far cannot be changed. Again it works.

Well that's all I can remember now. I hope it helps.

    Hi,

Future-wise, not that I recall. I thought I was going to miss the cd player, but not. Now I have all the apps available for Android on the head unit. I mostly use Amazon music, Pandora, Tune In radio. You can ask: ok google... and so.

The fit on the edges is perfect, although I had to play with the adjustments a few time. There is room for improvement, for example the phone and bluetooth audio apps are really basic but get the job done. I don't really use them directly because of Android Auto. Finally, no i don't miss the stock head unit.

    Thanks

    Thanks for posting this!

Really liking the oem fit of this, did you originally have the entune premium headunit?

That's the one I have but I hear the frame is different from entune+

    Hi,

No, mine was not JBL. Anyways you should ask them because there are units advertised on Aliexpress that looked similar and support JBL.

    Hi,

Here is a quick video of the unit. The mic of camera used did not helped with the sound, but the radio sounds great in person.

    Thanks
