Wash it after off-roading ... playing in sand .if you do street driving then just wash it when u do your normal car wash . No special attention needed .

Be careful with high pressure water, you can force water where you don't want it too.

I do not, it was quite a while ago - maybe they make a pressure fitting to hose adapter?

You won't have to worry about this in Florida, but others in the salt belt would benefit from regular underbody washes during the winter.

I just toss a yard sprinkler underneath. Leave it a while and it does a pretty good job of cleaning.

Thats what I would do too. Since the OP is in florida, unless he is driving through the ocean a simple sprinkler will do the trick.

we all know that the tacomas get rust by just looking at the frame so I'm going to clean it and touch up with paint a couple of areas that's all...but you guys convinced me just to use a water hose I'm not going to use the pressure cleaner on the bottom

Everytime after wheeling or after visiting the northern states in the winter. I put my swimsuit on and lay on the ground, spray everything with a pressurized hose nozzle. If it’s cold outside, I’ll get cold but I’ll jump in the HOT TUB afterwards and it’s all better
