I know by looking at the threads that some use their Tacoma for rock crawling and crossing steams. Some use their Tacoma for camping and rough trails. I wonder how many are using their Tacoma for normal driving and maybe hauling light loads and not for anything out of the ordinary. I know not many just curious.

The Tacoma is an all around multi-use vehicle. Mines the only vehicle I have (besides a motorcycle)...so I use it for daily driving, fishing, camping, offroading, you name it.

That's a surprise. Almost all photos are tacomas in heavy terrain. I guess I'm in the 99.8 part. thanks

Depends on what you mean by heavy. Usually the photos make it look a lot harder than it actually is. A lot of guys just like the look of an armored out truck but will never take it on anything rougher than a forest/fire service road.

I have 56000 miles on my Tacoma. Maybe 500 miles of dirt. Maybe. Of that, probably 450 miles of easy two track dirt road, so perhaps 50 miles in 4 wheel drive (not counting snow, but I live in a snow-fre zone, so not much of that either). Of the 4wd miles, maybe 5 miles in low range and 500 feet with locked rear diff. You do the math :) But it is my daily driver.

Mine is my winter weather, rainy day driver. It is used to haul my ATV on mud ride weekends, which are only about two or three a year for me now. It also gets used for the occasional trip to Lowe's.

Since moving to Montana from the land of fruits and nuts, I have used the 4x4 just about every week.

New Orleans is 4WD country, so I am in heavy terrain everyday while DD'ing it.
    116K no complaints

Because who's gonna share photos of a stock truck doing daily driving things? That's not exciting in the slightest

Because in the day and age of Instagram people are contractually obligated to take a picture every time they go outside.

I spend large amounts of time off-road in mine. Mostly mild trails, FS roads and exploring. I need 4wd just to get in and out of my driveway about 4 months a year depending on winter and spring thaw
