Thats obvious since the V6 in the 4Runners puts out more power. You can only squeeze so much out of the v6 before you have to start increasing boost, premium fuel or displacement.

A small v8 like the dodge 4.7L which I previously owned would be amazing.

Let me update my repair list for my work truck:

Just had to replace the driver side UCA because it was cracked and splitting around where the ball joint bolts in.

    x4...mine is plenty fast.

x2...this is huge for me. My truck is already worth more than I owe...such was the case when I drove it off the lot. These trucks well taken care of hold their value extremely well...I'm not aware of another midsize truck that does the same.

^^this...is funny as fuck. And true.

Heck yes, I get sick of explaining why I bought new when friends talk about how they would never buy new. I was talking with a friend last week and he's thinking about paying $30,000 for a Lariat with 40K on the odo. Makes zero sense to me.

I looked into several used Tacos before buying new, but I never found a deal. All were 1-3 years old and 10-15% below sticker. No way was I paying 90% of sticker for a truck that someone else got to enjoy the first 20k miles in.

Polymer, I agree. I looked at used tacomas and people were asking close to 30000 for a truck with 10k miles on it. So I just went new for a few more thousand.

The only thing I like about the Colorado is its size. It's a good size, a bit smaller than the Tacoma. Other than that it's a nice sized pile of shit.

My neighbor has the offroad version of the Colorado, double cab like mine, and stock. Front suspension setup looks inferior. My Tacoma looks SO much nicer. His tires were also worn very unevenly. Maybe he beats the crap out of it but the rest of the truck looks undamaged. There's also a Frontier Nismo down the street. It looks more quality and has a nice tie-down system in the bed. Probably the only thing I like more about the Frontier but I would consider a Frontier way before a Colorado or Canyon.

X2 I worked at a Chevy dealership when they came out and they feel soon much cheaper then my Tacoma... I would not even consider buying one.

I owned a 05 ls double cab colorado, I will say it was a good "little" truck. I had yoko geolander at's that were 31x10's and didnt have to lift or cut anything to keep from rubbing. I liked push button 4x4 also, those are the only 2 things my taco cant do. Tacoma is a TRUCK in every form compared to my old chevy.
