those particular cherokees are actually pretty good. I would still stick with the toyota though.

its an Inline 6 not a v6 just so you know.

and you'd think the problems would have presented themselves by that mileage.

I know you know what I think, but why are you considering getting rid of the Taco since you already have it? Is their something the Jeeps offer that Tacos don't?

extremly complicated but basically i got invited to play baseball for another, better high school. and ill have to drive 50+ miles of freeway and once im in college it will be difficult to drive a jacked up truck(like mine) in a cramped campus

anyways the thing that i like about cherokeed is 1) more room than a wrangler( cuz i hunt and fish) 2) soild axel 3) very easy to get offroad stuff

thats it. i really dont care about the diff between 3.4L v6 and 4.0L I6

oh but i dont like how cherokees have 3.55's. it would be hell with 32"+ tires. so ill proablly have to regear it:mad:

Grey wire MOD, deck plate, diff breather MOD, 2nd gen. Not gonna say they suck, just alot of earlier cherokees (jeep in general) had some issues when they went to EFI, for a couple years they had a problem with weak injectors, or bad pulse generators or some shit like that made them pretty unreliable...

I had a 1997 Grand Cherokee with the inline 6. Pretty good vehicle. I had 180,000 miles on it when I traded it. Transmission was going out. I heard from friends that had the 4x4, that their transmission went out sooner. A couple of them lost the trans @ 100,000 miles. One friend was on his 3rd transmission at 125,000 miles.

My 2005 Tacoma has 171,600 miles & I have had less problems with it than the Cherokee. If I had the option to buy either of them, I would buy the Tacoma.
