Are you going to clean up your frame or tackle some rust spots while everything is apart or is that not a concern?

Yes. Will be sanding, cleaning, galvanized paint, and then rustoleam on top of that.

Used por15 on my sliders. Found it to peel off on some areas that had not rusted. So I’ll be trying the galvanized paint as a first coat.

Yes. I know....hoping to get it down this week...

Keep hacking and you'll end up with a JEEP!!

For the frame... this stuff is awesome. Semi gloss is a factory match and dries quickly.

Nope. I bought mine at an automotive supply in Belleville. The 'Industrial' is not sold everywhere, but I believe that there is a dealer in or around Milton.

Below is a generic brand search:

    http://www.krylon.ca/locator/

... and a dealer in Mississauga:

The Krylon dries in less than 15 minutes.

But this is just... a big WOW!! Nice work!

... and what are those little bracket thingies hanging down off the axle on the outsides of the flip kit?

You know the answer to your question, what piece of the rear suspension is missing?

Haha. Those are the shock mounts. I have to do the driver side still so I left the old man emu shocks off. Plus I’ll be replacing them with billistien b110 when they come in.

Also no flip kit. I just got beefier hangers to replace the stock ones.

    Frame boxing
So using some plates from tw I was able to box the frame. The rear end of the plates look like Swiss cheese so I could access bolts for the bumper and shackle hangers. Didn’t want to weld a bolt in case it got fubard.

Was a pain welding by the gas tank and brake lines. All in all this job took from 12:30-7:30. That also included a power outage for an hour or two which made welding hard. Fitting up the new crossmember sucked, a plasma cutter would have been nice but I used a Portaband which doesn’t like angle cuts too much.

That’s my truck fire extinguisher. Usually have it mounted somewhere (have to figure out where I’m putting it still).

Figured welding by the gas tank it would be good to have. Especially doing over head welds where I was getting sky of drop off.
