Whats up TW?! Contemplating my next mod to my 2018 TRD OR. Was thinking about getting a set of these TacomaBeast Headlights. I love the smoke looked and I love the bigger/brighter DRL and sequential turn signal. I've also seen Anzo and Spyder/Xtune make a similar product to these on Real Truck.

My main question to anybody who's got these style headlights are does your Auto Hi-Beam feature still work? Do you notice a difference in brightness from your stock ones. IMO the stock headlights on my Tacoma are very bright. The only reason I would get these is for the Smoke look and the bigger DRL. However, if my Auto Hi-Beam doesn't work or they aren't as bright they aren't worth $400 and ripping my front bumper off to me. LOL

I have seen some posts on here and other internet sites about these and I've watched several DIY videos on YouTube of installation but I've yet to get an answer on the Auto Hi-Beam feature. I called TB Tech Support and they were unsure if it would or not. Real Truck support said that they don't see why it wouldn't still work. I'd like an answer from an actual Taco owner who's done this if it still works or not and would they consider them worth the money and install headache.

Auto hi-beam does still work on these. The headlights themselves are not as good a quality as oem. The led bar isn’t brighter than the oem led bar, and it doesn’t look like a solid light as the pictures depict. The whole headlight set up isn’t as bright as regular oem. That being said...they do look bad ass

You’ll save some money if you buy them from protunning labs. They’re all the same made in china crap anyways

Okay thank you. I'd hate to spend money to lose brightness but they do look really good. :annoyed::ballchain:

I liked my TB headlights, especially for the price!

They look really good? How would you compare to OEM as far as brightness?

The DRL isn’t as bright, but still good. The halogen bulbs that came with them aren’t great.

I mean it’s not to the point where it’s undriveable. But they’re Chinese headlights so obviously not on par with oem. I replaced the bulbs with sylvania zxe gold which is much better. I’m also looking into putting hid’s in there as some members have done.

Personally I'd hold off and compare the TB ones with the TRS headlights that they're building...

Feel free. It's a different class. It's also full LED. :)

Has anyone placed LED bulbs in the TB headlights? Can it be done? Thanks in advance

I was able to get LED bulbs in these but you have to cut a hole in the back of the cap to get the LED in and properly sealed. One downside is that these headlights use a H7 bulb vice H11 so even though they say they are plug and play, you can't swap your LED headlights from your stock housing. So if you get them make sure you order a pair of H7 LEDs.

I'm pretty sure that Tacoma Beast and TRS are the same company and alsp running under at least one other name that I am aware of. They are all selling a bunch of junk from China.

Those things are screaming cheap junk from a mile away. And hey if someone wants that then that's totally their choice to make but what I am saying is that those are not quality after market upgrades. Those are cheap downgrades for people who want to look cool and not spend money.
Might as well go buy a Colorado :notsure::ohsnap::mudding:

Tacoma Beast is the same as Spyder and ProTuning Lab and a couple other brands. It’s all the same I believe, just rebranded. Anzo is similar but different with the turn signal. TRS is on a completely different level. All LED with quad projectors. Looks to be a good quality product. The others....not so much

You're making these claims purely based on your own speculations since the trs lights aren't even out yet. Is it possible the output might be junk? Possibly. Is it likely? No. Tacomabeast uses trash/generic chinese projectors while TRS uses their XBs which are proven. Unless you have these lights and can prove theyre trash, you need to sit down and keep your opinions to yourself.

TRS may be selling something of quality that I am unaware of but it is part of the same cirlce jerk of rebranding companies. I'm glad to hear someone else on here is aware of these copy cat issues. These are called back up plans for when one brand name tanks.
