Well we got some snow today so I finally got see how the tires AND the lift do in it and boy does it go - :D. It was unstopable and you could just feel the tires digging in when you got into the deep stuff. Very impressed and did all that I asked.

Hey man you sure have a great looking truck. I'm in high school and I just got one that looks like yours did when it was stock, it's the same color too. Definatley thinking about going the route you did with a lift and tires, the rims look great as well. I'm still looking around to see what I want to do with it, but I just thought I'd stop in and say how much I liked your truck.

    Thanks a lot!! :)

That's awesome, congrats on the new truck! I remember when I first got mine, it was such an exciting thing to finally own one of these and not a day goes by that I don't appreciate it.

It sounds like you've got some nice plans for it! Yeah, 3 inch (+,- a little) lifts on these trucks are perfect. You're going to love it! There's a TON of info on TW regarding lifts and many photo threads too of different particular lift setups with all the different tire choices and sizes, so the search engine is your friend.

Anyway, thanks for checking it out and hope to see a build thread of your own soon!

    P.S., Welcome to TW!

    :p

Well, finally got around to installing a Magnaflow exhaust.

It is a Magnaflow 18" XL3, Part # 13265, and I don't think I've heard any sound clips of this specific type before. Most all the types I've heard before have been the "Universal" straight through type. This one has chambers in it and is supposed to be a little quiter than the straight through from what I've been told and read.

I had Muffler King do the install (who I've always had do all my exhaust work as they provide fantastic customer service and the best quality around for this type of thing that I can find) and said that he has not installed this specific muffler on any of these trucks before...only the universal. He said in comparison, the XL3 is deeper and quiter. I was really amazed at just how quite it really is. Infact, inside the cab, it sounds near stock only with a slightly deeper tone. I had a new section of 2.25" tailipipe routed up above and behind the framerail completely hidden out of site, painted black. Even with this set up, there is zip, zero, notta of any drone to be found inside the cab. It's too early to tell about mpg's, but overall it gives the feeling of being able to breath a little better. I'm very happy with it and it's just what I was looking for.

Highly recommended for somebody that wants a little deeper tone, yet still being well within the ball park of having that near stock sound.

Here is a couple of photos and what good what it do without a sound clip, so you'll see that below.

Also, over the past week or so, on and off, I've cleaned up and organized the first page a bit better with some new pics and all... check it out if you're interested!

Thanks. It's coming together. Just gotta get some kind of steps. I'm 6'3" and I'm not quite tall enough to slide in. :)

truck looks great! the older pics remind me so much of mine. Def one of the best colors. I still hate the little scratches i get from even the lightest wheeling...

    Haha, thanks!

Thanks! I agree, IPR is the best color for the first gen other than white. :D

I hear you there about scratches, I'm not into going down the types of trails that rub the sides of your truck either.

Do you have a build thread of your own? I remember seeing photos of yours when you first got it and it looked brand new! :)
