Anyone in the Minneapolis area want some running boards for 3rd gen access cab (might fit on 2nd gen?) They've got some rust you could clean up and paint and be fine. $20-40 would be nice but you can also have them for free (TW discount).

Also is anyone interested in a set of 16" 2nd gen steel wheels with TPMS and Blizzak winter tires? I'll need to take some pics but should be at least 8/32 tread left. I've only put ~37k miles on the truck and much less than half on the winter set.

Do any of the folks in this thread know of anyone or a shop in the Twin Cities area that can provide access to Techstream? I'm interested in programming a Lexus credit card key for my truck and would like to check if there's anyone nearby with the program before I purchase a license. Link to source thread below for those curious:

I appreciate your help in advance. Thank you!

What's everyone paying for Fluid Film application? Green Isle quoted 350 but that seems a little high?

After the place I had lifetime touchups at went out of business (grumble grumble), I ended up going to Ultimate Undercoating in Monticello this year to get my refresh done. I went with Woolwax which is slightly more, since that is what was already on there, and it was about $285 for my Tacoma. He also has a few other options on the website it looks like, ranging in price and longevity, starting with FF, Woolwax, Cosmoline, and now looks like he even offers some kind of wax based one (Waxoyl?) that is for the lifetime of the vehicle.

There was also a place in Coon Rapids that does FF (found them on the Fluid Film site when searching for appliers) and they were a bit more, a bit over $300 if I remember correctly from when I called for an estimate. Ended up not going there though, so can't tell you much more about them other than that they exist.

Thanks for posting this. Just picked up a used 2020 OR and the nearest place I could find was a shop about an hour & 40 mins South of my area (Northern TC suburbs). Also seems a bit cheaper for the Woolwax than the other place listed. Which was like $400.

Does he still do undercoating even in the winter? Wondering if he'll wash them and then do it still (he runs a carwash as well it looks like), even though it is past fall now and cold/salty? Debated getting my wife's car done but waited too long this year, or so I thought.

Unfortunately the Ultimate Undercoating guy only does "full" jobs and charges the same every time no matter what. The place I went to before would do an initial full and then charge just a little to do touch-ups every fall. (Or if you paid lifetime like me then they were supposed to be free, but that ship has sailed now.) Getting the first spray done at $300 isn't too bad, but paying that every year to make sure you are covered might be harsh.

I don't know, sorry. I never went there. I just looked up on Woolwax's 'dealer locator' and the closest one to me it came up with was in Blooming Prairie. I don't see anything that gives any sort of details about the way they do their services on their website. Could give them a shout and see what they say. Believe it's called Dirty Details.

Ah sorry, np. I thought you meant you had gone to the Ultimate Undercoating place in Monticello.

Not yet. So far my work schedule and their available appointment dates are not coming close to lining up. Looking like it'll be mid to late January before I can get the truck over there to get it done.

Looking for feedback from MN based people on roof racks. I previously had a Prinsu rack on an old vehicle and every type of hardware I tried had rust/corrosion. Looking at getting a rack for my tacoma and wanted to see if anyone had better luck. The Sherpa racks seem to be high quality but i'm worried I'll spend more and end up in the same boat.

Anyone MN-based and happy with their roof rack or found hardware that has resisted the elements well?

I have the front runner roof rack, extremely well built, my wife stands on it all the time to help load our RTT. Second winter and no noticable damage anywhere. Powder coat still looking great
