This weekend i am going to be having poweredbysoy over to install his ecgs bushing so if anyone else wants to come over and do some mods to their truck before that would be great we were thinking about starting the bushing arround 2 to 230

Staples motley, started her off with a fabtech dirt logic 0-3.5" lift with aal and dl shocks in the back... Had a broken leaf so I replaced with Alcon 8 pack leafs in the back, and brake line extension, added all pro slider, hit a deer and had to fix a lot, radiator, new rad core support, air box, had to straighten my inner fender well cause the body shop did a shit job, DIY cbi off-road front bumper with m8000 warn winch, retrofitted a set of headlights, cut up my box and installed a cbi off-road bushmaster high clearance bumper, fiberwerx flared don't fenders, skid row front skid plate, 1" differential drop, borla stainless steel exhaust, 170a alt xs power batt ran through the whole interior with all new audio components added amps and sub, runnin on stock rims and 33-10.5 bfg km2's.

    Still needs paint and 35's

Welcome. We're definitely in Jeep territory around here, but this is a pretty great site with lots of cool, helpful people.

I have some pics under my profile. Only had the truck for just over a year, so still working on building it up a bit. I'm going more the camping/overland route than straight-up wheeling.

    Sweet truck.

I can't wait. This groaning noise is driving me f'ing nuts.

How do you like those PIAA's? I'm going to be doing lights next and those PIAA fogs are on my list. It's between those and the KC HID's with an amber filter.

These are the 540 crystal ion fogs... There bright I like them they were donor items from my GMC Sierra after I hit a deer and destroyed my grill guard the bulbs seem to burn out really quick tho really short life span on them

Lol as soon as my new wire harness comes from the retro fit source I plan on installing it so I have functional headlights... Also have either a bad resistor or corrosion on my connections on my right blinker to clean up cause it's started hyper blinking on me yesterday

Chris installed the ECGS bushing for me this weekend. That was a lot more work than I was expecting, but we got 'er done. Drives like butter now. So much better.

    Huge thanks to Chris again.

Alright, new to the tacoma forums, spent some time on wrangler forums with my dads Jeep project. Currently in school at UMD for Chemical Engineering. And will spend the summer in Cottage Grove(SE TC) at an internship with 3M which also happens to be where I grew up. Family has a cabin 10mi north of Spooner WI.

Picked up my tacoma last spring from a dealer in Waukesha, Wi. Not sure who owned it before but if anyone has seen this tacoma around on the forums, I would be interested to hear more of its story. Here is a picture of it when I bought it. Have only added a couple small things since. You can read my (just started) build thread Here.

    Its a 2007 Sport DCLB

    Not worth it
Long travel was designed for the desert not the rocks we have here if you are going to change anything up with the fron suspension majorly the run a solid axle they do great up here

Solid axle FTW! Long travel looks cool, but I think a mid travel is just fine for the majority.

yeah i hear you guys i got a tacoma to make it look like a prerunner because i love the look of them. Im not into rock crawling. Just looking to get the smoothest ride possible. I figured long travel would be a waste in minnesota but i had to see if anyone had it.

Boost, armor, lights, big tires, no savings.
I think a +2 LT kit would be great. But then you gotta do the rear to keep up with the front. And coil overs need to be rebuilt more often, and you'll need to replace the uniballs more often. Could turn into an $8k-10k suspension real quick. Hard to justify. But it would be great....

Welcome! We need a larger MN crew - so it's nice to see more. I'd love to live up near the north shore. Planning on heading up there next month sometime for a bit of hiking - weather permitting.

I dont know how spread out we are but with this nice weather we are having, I was wondering if anyone would want to get together and have a little tacoma meet somewhere this evening. I live in Hugo but we could come up with a place near other members.

Already did some mudding today. Unfortunately I'm the sober shuttle for a birthday bash today so the day is taken.
Getting some 4X innovations sliders installed next Friday, I'll be ready to play soon.
I'd like to do the outing in Wisconsin on the 27th. Anyone else?
