Please direct me where to buy the stuff needed to convert my tail gate latch into a locking one. And how hard is it to install?

Took about 15 minutes to install, mostly to free tough bolts.

It has a feel of cheap plastic, but has not let me down. Yes, someone could probably break off the handle pretty easily if they wanted to get in, but it keeps the honest people honest.

I went this route for locking my tail gate. Amazon Bully tail gate pad lock for about $22 delivered. Works good for a deterrent to stealing the tail gate.

Still pretty neat. My grandpa just spent $750 replacing his tailgate off his 07 silverado. Some knucklehead ripped it off while his truck was sitting in his driveway in the middle of the day:mad:

There is also this option, http://www.dynoproducts.net/locks/dynolock/dyno-elelock.htm which ties the tailgate in with the electric door locks. My uncle has it on his 2010 Tacoma, says it works well. I'm a bit hesitant with this option though as I don't want my tailgate locked everytime I lock the doors.
