Yes/Maybe/No... what I made was for switchback in reverse location. I also made for turn in reverse location and reverse relocated. What you are describing is Turn-As-Tail function and would still require their module. The only thing this would help with is eliminating cutting the factory harness (by cutting this, using the connectors). The issue with TAT, is that you must use LED and you will need to test against those issues it creates (hyperflash/resistors). MESO May have ideas on this or plans beyond where I went. I’d say, stay tuned...

    Thanks!

If so, I will just add two on the black part of the bumper and use this as a work light.

I'm not super thrilled with how the pods look but the light they put out is great. Also love having yellow turn signals as god intended along with full C brake lights.

All 3rd gens (I think?) have a 4pin trailer connector, so it should be possible to wire the taillights to that trailer harness (the 7pin harness wouldn't be helpful) and install LED bulbs of your choice to get the tail-as-turn effect without having to buy their module, but... hyperflashing will always be an issue without adding a load which simulates the resistance of the stock incandescent bulbs.

They're in! And, look and work stellar. I slapped the harnesses in and soldered up the reverse light in about a half hour. Out with the fam. I'll post pics when we get home.

Thanks. In the daylight, it looks no worse than the LED license plate lights. We'll see.

What did you do for turns? 921NA incandescent bulbs in the reverse housing?

Is Meso selling these harnesses now, or still beta testing?

Pics and a couple crappy vids!

Before you all get angry, this was an end spot:

The Rigid Ignite with the diffuser does not project down as much as I hoped, but as you approach objects, there is plenty of reflected light to see well:

Backed up to the wrong house in this one! Hahaha!

Sorry. The fam was tired after the long day, so I was doing this solo.

Yes and yes. 921NA as a first try that I am just too damn happy with. I was gratuitously offered to beta test a set!

Idea for that... take a spacer (or make one from an appropriate material - like bondo/putty knife) and sand it at a 45 degree angle. Then install between body and light. This will give it a downward cast you are looking for.

That is a good idea, but my guess is that it would still be about the same due to the light projecting onto the bumper step. A thick 0deg spacer would help as it would reduce the distance to the end of the bumper.

From what I saw, there is a lot of light to see things as they are approached at night. Looking through the rear window is the same or better than before. I will continue to check on it and will post some daylight shots.

Also, I realized that the videos were taken with the license plate lights off. Sorry!

I put mine in a different spot to avoid the step blocking the light output.

Yes! That was my back up (hahaha!) plan. I just wanted to see if one light would work in that location. I feel like I am good to go at this point.

I think you are correct. The step looks like it is blocking the light. @Rome604 has his light on the edge of the bumper so there is no interference from the step.

I received my prototype last night, and will be putting it and my pods on this weekend, sooner hopefully. :fingerscrossed:
Mine are 6" single row pods that will be on the bumper mount so they will still afford a higher clearance than the hitch assembly. Based in my test fit They are only going to be about 1/2 - 3/4" lower than the center portion of the bumper.

Once I have it all installed I will post pics of the final as well as the steps along the way. I will try to do output of each light before and after conversion. I plan to convert 1 side and do pics of stock vs mod in the same pic. Once pics are taken I will complete side 2.

Brake and turn will stay as incandescent for now, any LED conversion will be at a later date. This is because I have the incandescent now, but have not yet purchased resistors for turn or LED for brake and turns.

Everything is North and West of landfall, but it's coming in as a Cat 4, so I only hope for those who are in the path and eastward. This is a reminder of Ivan and many others. Lots of rain which nobody wants... especially those folks in GA/SC/NC.

Yeah. I saw that it is going to end up in those states as it peters out. Not good.

Hopefully, the rest of this year is quiet for all of you folks.
