It looks like the major difference between the two is one has chrome and the other doesn't. If you dont have any chrome, putting some on the tail lights would be kinda tacky and make you want to get rid of it also, but if you do, it would depend on how much you have. Since your grill and bumpers are chrome, I think that'd work pretty good.

Chrome asside, I do like the design of the first one a bit better. The design seems a little more finished, as the second ones marker lenses look like they were an after thought. Also, not really a fan of the mismatched brake light and turn signal lens. And then theres the no lens on the backup lights. Just looks unfinished/thrown together.

IMHO, A/M tail lamps makes the truck look like it crashed into a Pep Boys. Early (orig)1st gens look better

Kinda agree with ya there, but I did see some led second gens I liked. I believe they were on WW_FIREFIGHTER's truck. First gen after market led taillights look kinda silly though, but the top option isn't awful. I do prefer stock though.

I bought #2 off e-bay. They cracked (and now leak) when I was screwing them in! Very cheaply made, IMO... Also, I had to rewire the brake/park lights on the passenger side because the bulb only fit in the socket a certain way leaving the brighter light (brake) as the default when the other side had the dimmer (park/regular) light on.

I will be tinting my original lights in the very near future and trashing these.

Hope that helps you make up your mind.

I voted for the 2nd ones but after looking at them more, I like the 1st ones better. The 2nd taillights do look cheaply made...
