tailgate light bar

Has anyone hard wired these before? I had it on my last truck and a mechanic did it for me and ripped me off doing it so I'd like to do it myself. Anyone able to help? pictures telling me where things go. I have the recon xtreme. It has the amber scanner on it for turn signals.

 

I'm not exactly sure how to do it but I would imagine you would just tap into the brake light wires

I do not exactly, but the process for finding the wires would be the same.

 

hey OP, really wish i could help you out seeing how i have that same bar on my 05 taco, but like you, i had a shop install it for me. the only thing i can tell you is that you will have to remove the bar if you ever have to drop your spare tire.

 

I had it on my last tacoma and just had to cut an opening so I could get the tool in to drop the spare.. But The spare won't fit my tire set up anyway and I'm going to be buying new wheels and tires so don't really need the spare after that....
