    Hey guys,

Good news. As some of you may have seen some pictures I've posted back in February about my tailgate lock not fitting my 2013 Tacoma v6 TRD Sport 4x4. I tossed that tailgate lock in the trash and didn't even think about emailing or calling Pop&Lock to get a replacement. I email Jason at Pop&Lock and I received good news. He said he will be making OEM tailgate locks for TOYOTA TACOMA. He sounded like a great guy to work with. I'm hoping to get an OEM lock soon :).

I don't think you'd miss out on anything other than having to carry an extra small key just for the tailgate with what you have on now.

That and I'm not thrilled with the build quality of the PL5300. It doesn't operate anywhere near as smooth as the factory tailgate handle.

There would be a rather large interest in an OEM-like tailgate lock on the forum here. Definitely see if they're willing to offer a group buy discount. If I hadn't gotten a powered DynoLock, I would be getting this for sure.

I'm glad I waited, I'll be getting one of these as soon as they are available! I would be in for a group buy if it mean a discount!

This is something I wish I had known about a month ago. Just bought the PL5300... Wish I would have waited on my purchase after hearing this.
