Ive been relying on this method for years but I don't live in an area frequented by "real thieves", my area in more of young kids pulling on door handles and occasionally a window gets busted out.

I have a 2020 SR and it fit as advertised and took only a minute or two to install. Seems pretty solidly built

The right side hinge of the tail gate has a "cut out" to lift the tail gate off of said hinge, the hose clamp/worm clamp goes around the tail gate portion to close off the "cut out" and thats it.

Quicksand with hood protector, color matching decals on tailgate latch, mudflaps, glovebox, and tailgate hitch cover.
What parts? In my case, I went to the hardware store and bought a hose clamp for less than $3. I already had some black spray paint, so I painted it black, and put it on. The actual tailgate lock, at that time [2019], was only beginning to be offered through dealers and when I got mine, I actually had to buy it from Southeast US Toyota dealers, because they were the only ones who had them. Now, Toyota actually sells their own. Funny thing was, when I got mine, it was packaged as a Toyota part but inside it was a PopNLock! I knew that already, but it was funny how they did it. But for now, if you go to the dealer and ask for an automatic tailgate lock kit, they actually have it or can order it.

Catalytic converter thefts are problematic for any make and model. If they can get under vehicle easy, it is a problem. You would NOT believe what people steal for a quick buck

i double checked and called mcgard and they said they dont make one for tacomas that have a camera because it interferes with the camera, wtf.....there are other makers that are in the same place and the mcgard is a fancy hose clamp with a case around it and a key. thanks for the heads up steve

How the fart hole does this tiny band do anything to the camera?

I think it has nothing to do with the camera; the McGard people were probably confused. The problem I believe is that the McGard just physically won't fit in the space. It fits on full-size trucks. But... I don't know for sure.
