    I worked in a junkyard for a few years, decklids/tailgates especially the ones with back up cameras can go for some huge money and still be cheaper than going to a body shop there is definitely a market for it.

    Not to bum anybody out here, but I've also seen postings from guys who have had their spare tires stolen from under the truck. Not sure if it's a significant thing or not, but a small pair of bolt cutters is all that's needed.

    ...and don't get me started on how easy it is to swipe the rear cats.

    Haha from 2006-2010 people were going under cars and cutting off the cats and when the owner came out they had a nice treat when starting car. That is just as comman as tailgate theft. They had task forces just for that
