    I used to be a CAT mechanic apprentice. Funnest job I ever had. Worked at least 60 hours a week. Nothing better than learning a trade.

    I remember a time when I helped my mentor put one of these counterweights on the back of a 345D. Those huge bolts torqued to over 1000 ft/lbs. Somewhere around 1125 or so. Had to use a hydraulic (sp?) torque wrench. :cool:
