Ayup, that looks like what we saw with Eric's APs. I'd much rather have that than what I do. I eventually want to cut the rear fender for a high clearance bumper anyway. Live and learn, I guess. I'm too cheap to just by a new set of AP springs though, haha.

I'm sure someone has a stock set laying around with all the lifts going on around here.

Edit: IIRC, Frank is waiting for the hottest weekend of the year to have a mod day to lift his truck and I think he's sold on the idea of doing new leaf packs when he does it. He might be willing to give you his stock over-loads...or he might trip over some that someone dumped on the side of the road or something.

I got them during some holiday promotion but they were still a bit costly. I may have my stock set in storage if you want to make your own set.

That would probably work for Nam. As I recall the stock 1st Gen springs had that big chunky overload that would give you almost an inch of lift just from the thickness. :D

BTW @Finks99Taco When are you gonna bring the hilux out to wheel with us?

Thanks! OME 881s on OME Nitrocharger shocks. Stock uppers, lowers, and knuckles.

I was pretty surprised myself at how much articulation I'm getting with an IFS front end.

I'm still playing with it. Was talking to Jason at the meet and I believe it now has a misfire so I'm going to have to start tinkering with that. It's hard living in an apartment complex though - tearing stuff apart in the road is frowned upon to say the least.

She's pretty tough tho - 175,xxx on original clutch still. Even wheeled amazing with the stock bald tires on it.

They are great trucks. And you get bonus points for having wing windows. I seriously miss those. I hope you can get all the kinks worked out of her without too much trouble. :fingerscrossed:

edit: you know, it almost looks like the doors are the same as a 1st Gen Taco. I wonder if i could retrofit a set of hilux doors (or at least the windows) with wing windows to the OGT.

Ok same coils as me but I'am running bilsteins. But with my custom bumper weighing a fuzz over 100 lbs I think it has squatted them a little over time.

I was going to say it looked like you sit a little higher than I do going by the Tamlando pics, but after looking again, I think we're sitting about the same (going by the gap between the top of the front tires and the fender. Guess it's just an illusion caused by my sliders and your bumpers that made me look lower.

I have an aal and also put in some leafs from an old Dodge pickup that I picked up at a junkyard. Cut them down to the size I needed (long as could fit) and they seem to be working great. Theres a thread on here somewhere with the specifics on what to look for in a donor set of springs.
