Also, recently found out a pal of mine is set up to do water transfer. He is all ready a well known cerakote'r and I have had guns done by him, so i trust his work and his skills.

I am getting quotes for interior pieces soon.

4/12ish, took off the grill and relocated the horns to make room for the Kragen HIDs.....but I'll install those later. I also popped out the toyota badge and painted it blue metallic. I kinda hate it and will lose the whole grill when the 2012 grill craft comes out, but until then I'll rep the blue.

I didnt get any pics of this process, but I applied Raptor Liner to the Avid Rails, they come naked, and the rear bumper. The rear bumper was OEM chrome and I had it sandblasted to rough it up a little.

Spraying went easy. Had to use my pal's huge compressor. No way the Raptor Liner would have been applied with a $100 compressor. His compressor is huge. Probably a few grand. So application was easy. Clean up...a PITA. Hands are still black, lol.

Raptor liner was a sweet idea for the rear bumper! Did you take the plastic piece that sits on top of the chrome bumper off before applying the raptor liner? It looks badass though, no scratches getting on that.

I just have cheap ass Plasti-Dip...... Got to change that

Yeah I dismantled the entire rear bumper. The top cap is a bastard to get off without breaking the hidden recessed tabs. then there are ten bolts and a few special clip/screws holding the step area caps on. Then I had to remove the reciever hitch bolts to get the step cap off.

Once all that was off it made sandblasting a breeze. I decided to have the bumper blasted so it would hold the Raptor better and the chrome is tough as bawls.

If you can find a compressor near you that can push this product I'll sell you the other half of my kit for 60$ with the gun.

The compressor needs to push 50 psi @ 8cfm. I think you can go lower on the cfm, but you may have to wait for the tank to recharge. IDK as my buddy has a beast of a compressor, so it was a none issue.

SPraying was the eiasiest part of this whole deal, too. The taking the bumper off and sanding the bars was the hardest part. If you can get past that, you are gold.

    GOLD!

Cool thanks! I'll let you know about the kit I need to find a compressor first cause that is a SWEEET look for the bumper.
Love the LED's as well. Im looking to do something like that in the near future!!!

8cfm is the kicker. I even checked at a commercial rental place near here and they dont rent them. The compressors that can push that sell for 1300$ and up. Check with autobody pals and people that run a lot of air tools.

Or check rental places by you, I'm in a small town, so maybe thats why they didnt rent it. Either way its a big compressor.

Maybe even call U-POL Raptor and ask them how important the 8cfm is....the 50 psi is easy enough to come by, but if its a matter of waiting for a tank to refill, then spray, refill and spray, you may go that route.

In fact, for the bumper, I think I used 2 minutes of finger on the trigger. No more than 2 minutes for real.

    good luck
