So I get my return next Tuesday and am going to be placing a pretty big order. Just wanted to share my plans as well as get some opinions.

    Some background:

I bought my truck (2001 DC) with a 3" BL and 1" spacer up front. It's currently running 33x12.50x15 KM2's. I like the stance but BL look like trash, ride like trash and are unsafe.

I will be removing the BL and doing it correctly with:

    Front-5100/Eibach
    Rear-5150/Allpro leaf pack
    Energy body bushings
    B.A.M.F BPF Bracket

Anything else suspension wise that I need to order?

Rims and tires need to be addressed but that is where I am really undecided.. I keep going back and forth, I can't make up my mind. It has steel wheels and I want to go with alloy so I think I decided on:

15x8 -19 offset MB Wheels V-Drive (I believe -19 equals 3.75 backspace, will that rub?

Now comes to my major issue. I like the 33's but I am concerned about rubbing so I have three options. Here are my concerns:

    A. 33x12.5x15 (might rub and maybe look too big because I will have less lift than I am currently running)
    B. 33x10.5x15 (idk about running skinny tires and it may not solve my rubbing/clearence/wheels looking too big issue)
    C. 32x11.5x15 (Might look too small?)

Also not sure what tire to run. The KM2's are ok but I'm gonna switch it up. Looking at Goodyear Wrangler M/T. Definately want a mud terrain.

So those are my plans, I would love to hear from you guys... maybe you can help me make my final descisions before it's time to order.

    Your suspension setup sounds good.

IMO, go w/ 33X10.5. Tall and skinny looks best IMO. 32X11.5 wont look too small. Any of those three choices will look great on the truck.

And if you can, post a thread w/ pics when you remove the BL. I am taking my 3'' BL off very soon and it would be cool to see pics of someone removing one.

I'm running the 5100's set at 2.5" up front with stock trd coils. I have 33x12.50x15 and had to get wheel spacers to keep them from rubbing the upper control arm.mafter the spacers they rubbed around the pinch weld so I smashed it even more and had to cut a little. Now they rub occasionally but look 100x better than my 32x11.50s that I had. You should be fine with 33x12.50 cause 5100's and eibachs give something like 3.5" of lift if I'm correct. Get 33x12.50s

No problem, I plan on starting a build thread and documenting the whole process.

Nick-Thanks for the info.. I think I am going to stick with the 33x12.5.. I just dont want to have to modify anything or rub..

Your going to have to trim no matter what with 33x12.5s so get over it and do it cause its worth it :D haha

my truck has Eibachs and 33x12.5 KM2s with just 4'' of BS it didn't rub TOO bad..but then i slapped my spacers back on for shits and giggles and now with 2.5'' BS...i rub BAD lol but i don't care, i just cut it all out.

3.75'' BS on a rim will merit the best results with the littlest trimming i believe.

also, idk what Allpro leaf pack your planning on getting, but if its 3'' standard or the Expo for sure, you need an extended rear brake line. Toyotech or Wheelers sells them.

33x10.5s don't look bad at all IMO really. 12.5s looks bad ass no matter what..but you will have to trim and you get worse MPG. You'll have to trim a lot if you Wheel and have the sway bar off(mine is).

Do you rub during everyday driving? Have you trimmed or beaten the pinch?

Damn? Tax return already? Someone is on top of their shit.

As for tires types, the cooper STT caught my eye recently and what I've heard of it sounds good. Might be worth a look?

umm no i dont, i did with spacers.

yes i have beat the pinch weld back then got tired of trying to get something to fit which doesnt, so i took a grinder and cut 2 inches out of my wheel well pounded it back together and welded it so its about 1-2 inches higher up. but at full bump i still rub on my whole wheel well. thats only at full bump or at lock/bump. everyday driving is fine. i can take some pics if you want? way worth it to fit 33 12.5s though
i want to jump to 35s

lots of people are getting their tax returns now haha slacker

Have you priced out the stock body mount bolts for when you take the BL off? Im planning on taking it off really soon. Whats the sizing?

When I take mine off I am just going to ace hardware and get some bolts that match up that are just 3'' shorter.
