TEC 2021 OF4WD Membership Renewal

    Hey everyone,

    We are going to be starting to collect names and information for the 2021 registration. How this works is there is a $10 club fee paid to TEC, and the discounted registration fee of $25 paid to the OF4WD. $35 all in.

    For those that are interested and are wondering what this $35 gets you here is the breakdown:
    -Usually, the registration to the OF4WD is $50, but joining the club saves you $15.
    -The $10 paid to TEC helps us fund trail cleanups and trail maintenance (2020 we adopted the south trail in Ardbeg) as well as the $100 club fee paid to the OF4WD
    -Joining the OF4WD gets you trail indexes that tell you the level of a trail, updates on the trail (part of our responsibility for trail adoption is giving updates on the condition of a trail so it can be communicated to the 4wd community). Also you get locations of trails with campsite locations.
    -The $35 goes towards the 4x4 community to help keep trails open (the OF4WD works to do this and the TEC group does what we can to help them)

    How it will work
    1. Right now, we are going to be collecting information via PM (name and email) and have a running list on this thread. (this will be going till Decemberish)
    2. In a few months when the 2020 membership is finished we will send out an email and let everyone on here know we are collecting the $10. Once we receive your payment, we will send you a code. (around January)
    3. you will then go and use the code to register on OF4WD. (NOTE:if this is the first time registering with the club and you have registered before, you will need to email a OF4WD person to update your account details, so you can use the discount code)
    4. You will receive a sticker from the OF4WD in the mail and TEC.
    5. keep an eye out on the Google calendar for events OR let us know (@norlisk or @tacoma16) if you want us to add your even to the calendar

    I have a glimmer of a memory that somewhere i read the OF4WD membership comes with a link to Ontario maps which can be loaded into Gaia. Is this true or am I high?

    Maybe I misconstrued the trail indexes mentioned in OP.....?

    Not high. Lol. Yes they do give you a gps file (gpx if I recall). You can load it into any map format. I have done it on Gaia, base camp, and a few other maps apps.
