Hey all, relatively new to the scene, pretty excited for my first run with other enthusiasts. That being said I really don't want to take away from anyone else's experience due to me being dependent. So I want to make sure I'm prepared.

Like I've mentioned before I have a stock 17 OR MT, which has the two front recovery points and a receiver in the rear. Past posts have said Ardbeg is doable stock and I'm fairly confident in my abilities/boundaries. I've gotten stuck solo before and used my highlift (for 4 hours in axle deep mud) to get unstuck. I'm familiar with recovery procedures in theory but not a lot of practice. I've some pinstripes down both sides but no noticable damage, and I'd like to keep it that way!

I'm not an official member of the club as I have not paid my dues. Since I really want a taste of that smokey Arbeg goodness I think it's appropriate I fork over the cash.

Food, Beer, Shelter/Warmth and Gas is bring your own. So I'll make sure I have enough for me, the girl friend and little yappy dog (that will stay in my truck).

Any other suggestions or prep I should to before heading out? Anything Arbeg specific?

bring with you a good chair and a bit of firewood (remeber - it'll also be cold as frick in October, winter will be early this year just like last year). There will be campfires to be had in the evenings with song and dance!

Air down/ air up on your own isn't 100% critical with the number of vehicles that are going. if you need to air up, i and many others will have air pumps.

but yes, be cautious with what tires you have, make sure to check your spare to see if it's good

Thanks for the feed back. Airing down is something i never think about cause all i own is a bike pump.

Who do I pay/email transfer to make my TEC contribution?

If it is what we were discussing. I’m hoping to follow through with it for next year. Not in the funds this year and I’m hoping to get started with it versus a end of the year project.

Hey! I would say bring what ever you need to comfortably camp. Just remember there isn’t electricity or running water so keep that in mind.

As for vehicle prep, I would say ensure you have atleast front (factory stuff is cool for a first go) and rear (hitch) tow points. Spare tore is good too. If you have wheel locks or special lug nuts ensure you have the key to take them off. As for air compressor I carry an extra one and I’m sure atleast one of the 25 people will help you out.

With regards to Tec registration you can pay the registration for the 2021 year during the camping trip or etransfer myself or @norlisk once we email you information. Check out this thread for registration info

If you want to make a donation/contribution, you can also do that at camp. We will have stickers as well! Cleaning up is also a big help too!

Post # 1 and # 2 updated, please read carefully everything and sign up for trail runs (copy and paste the list, write you username). I also need 4 trail guides for Saturday, one for each trail and one for Sunday(pending on how Saturday goes).

Did the South Trail this weekend water levels and mud are acceptable for stock trucks, I expect not much different in early October.

I'm ok to be in any group since I haven't been there as long as there is a guide that knows the place...

Also, if the group is full, put your name still down, based on that we can make another group to do the trail.

We got 2 weeks to go! :bananadance:
