Welcome to TEC Newbie Run Part 1 where we are going to be doing Level 2 trails only, stock trucks are welcome. Good tires and front/rear points of recovery is recommended. This run doesn't require any previous experience or knowledge - we can show you the basics of Toyota 4WD and how these trucks handle terrain. This is a full day trail run, plan accordingly.

Current list of the trails is the following:
Old Logging Trail - > Salmon Burn -> Moose Trail -> Picard Lake

Meeting point to air down is at the following location, we are going to start at 10AM Saturday, June 19, 2021.
    44.639056, -78.531150

    See you there :burnrubber:

Anyone got pictures of these trails from the past?

I'm considering making this my first trail run with TEC.

It's just a far drive and I would have to camp out Friday night too. Any good crown land spots someone willing to share?

Hi. First time poster, but been lurking here for a while.

I'd like to join the run and had a couple of questions:
    1) Would it be OK to bring my 3.5 year old daughter? Anybody else bringing kids? I'm not inexperienced when it comes to 4x4's and off-roading but i figured a newbie run like this would be a good opportunity to to introduce my daughter to it
    2) How long will the run take, approximately?

    1) Hard to say, there is a lot of rough terrain and up/downs, may be bouncy, overall this is all going to be done at slow speeds so I think the kid should be okay.
    2) We are planning on doing 4 different trails, depending on the group speed it may take anywhere between 3 to 6 hours. Bring the snacks and water. In between the trails there are exits if anyone wishes to leave earlier. Plan is to finish trail run by 4PM at the latest. We may skip some trails and go straight to others, all depends on the group. :bikewhoops:

I was gonna see if one of my kids would come with Dad, but at their ages they only thing they want from me is money!
I say bring her she'll probably have a blast bouncing around.

Well it seems I have a swamper coming, so everyone rest easy. He can run lines, shovel, grab drinks, whatever!
Might cost me a meal or two, but its worth it!
ANyone coming from the far west...Im down for a convoy.

Video from two days ago (not TEC). Note they went from Picard Lake to 3-rated Weakest Link which is very tight.

Video from last year (not TEC).
