    the 2 at the end of the video went through the trail before us. But the Stock truck on winters was breaking the trail and didn't have the icing issues the rest of the group had...

    That was getting stuffed off the side after the 5th or so attempt at getting up the hill. Tried backing up further and getting back in my tracks for more momentum. Just ended up crabbing off the side.

    @somebody @jordi992
    that was some epic amount of fun in the snow, i hope you two had a blast getting through that stuff ahead of what the rest of us went through. Was a fun day regardless
    :hattip:

    @jordi992 Chat with @tacoma16 since he'll be replacing his Bumper reinforcement plate with the C4 fab i gave to him yesterday. at least with his old one, you have a reference point in how it was designed and set up.

    @somebody when you get the stainless for the skids, let me know and i'll drop my skids to use as a template

    @Norilsk what winch do you have? Anything i should consider? should i get a hybrid barrel winch for both steel and synth or say fuck it and go synth?

    Did the real snow tires make that much difference through that section? And did you guys finish the whole route?

    well he was first to get through it all so yeah i'd assume so :rofl:

    and no we didn't finish the rally. there was about 20-30ish kms left to go to get to the finish, but after spending a few hours in that one un-maintained-in-the-winter road (Fourty Hills road) we called it quits and headed back towards home. Had the trail not been as eventful as it was, we'd reach the end in about 2 hours.

    Good thing it was the tires rather superior driving ability lol. That trail really seemed to demonstrate how much difference winter tires make. Were you Coopers winter rated?

    nope :rofl:
    I blindly trusted @llamasmurf on its snow performance
    everything about a foot deep was solid and the tires loved it.

    anything deeper (this road) and it's all in the hands of the driver. the reason i got stuck so much was because i was leaving it in auto and the truck would shift up to 3rd and i'd immediately loose all momentum and traction.
    holding 2nd gear in select was the ticket out.

    so at the end of the day, i blame driver error/ inexperience in these sorts of conditions :D
