Got Techstream 12.20.024 and mini VCI from eBay. Did the install and all went well; plugged it into my lady's Prius and could make quite a few customizations. However, plugging into my 2006 Tacoma yielded almost nothing. I can program keys and TPMS; that's about it. Going into the customizations menu, the only field listed is "others", containing nothing inside.

Anyone else using this software on their 2nd gen? Any successes or failures?

Tacoma's are very limited when using techstream. Other than what you listed, I think you can also turn off the seat belt nagging.

There is no options for those year range vehicles even my wifes 2009 Prius doesnt have the option for turning seatbelts etc off with techstream.

Its done by following the proper steps in order to access that system to turn it on or off.

I bought the truck used and the belt chime was already disabled. There is no alarm sound when locking the car; I assumed this was disabled.

Techstream doesn't even show an option for belt sounds. I bought it so I could turn off the completely unnecessary 30s relock feature after unlocking the doors.

Ty - interesting you have no options for Prius; ours is 2010 and has many options. I believe the 09 to be the same Gen III

2010 was the first year for the Gen III, on mine you have to do a series of steps to turn off the belts or reverse chime etc.

    1) Turn the Car 'ON', but do not start the engine (Leave your foot off the brake). Cycle your trip reset knob until it reads ODO. Turn the ignition back off. Wait a couple of seconds.
    2) Make sure seat belt is not fastened
    3) Turn the ignition back on, do not start the car (Leave you foot off the break) As soon as you see everything light up, press and hold the trip reset knob and do a long 12 second count.
    4) Keep your finger on the trip reset knob. Fasten your seat belt, as soon as you fasten your seat belt, you should see the ODO display go from XXXX miles to "b-on". At that time take your finger off the trip reset knob and press it again. It should cycle to "b-off". You should be all set and turn the ignition off and unfasten your seat belt.
