i just bought an 06 4 w/d 4 cyl 5 speed till i get the title it sits in the garage damn it. 80 k miles and solid. no dents or rot. it's replacing my 92 w250 with a cummins. at my age 69 i don't need a work truck but i can't bear to be without some kind of truck and the tacoma looks like it will fill the void perfectly. but what is it? prerunner? sr5? how about a cap or tonneau anything to beware of?

Do you have a picture of it? That'll be really easy to identify what you have then.

well if its 4x4 its not a pre-runner. a picture would help determine if its a sr5 or not.

It's not. Prerunner. Just 4x4. Sr5 depends on if it has that package or not. It should say it on the tailgate.

it's just a plain tacoma with nothing on the tailgate, which is fine with me, i'm really not too computer savvy and a picture as much as i'd love to share the excellent shape it's in is above my pay grade. what's killing me is waiting for the kid to pay it off and send me the title. no title no registration. living in the boondocks has its benefits i can play a little but its never enough.
thanks for the help, i think this site is rapidly becoming a favorite.
