So I decided to finally fix my temp/compass readout on my roof console. However, after reading over the fix thread, it seems I'm the ONLY person who is having trouble getting the metal clips to snap securely when reinstalling. When I push the console up in place, the clips snap, but the front console droops a bit. I've played with the clips shapes, the way they're mounted, etc, but nothing is working. Not sure why I'm the only person who ever had trouble with this simple step. Any suggestions or pictures would be appreciated. Thanks!

I wouldn't say you're the only one. I lost my clips altogether.

I had the same problem. My clips got bent out of shape one really bad. I had to reshape them to fit the on the console part so they were tight and then widen the part of the clip that clips to the ceiling so the console is tight and doesn't droop. I remember it took me awhile those clips are hard to bent. Use some needlenose pliers.

Anyone know where I might find some replacement clips?
