I just bought a 2008 Tacoma SR5 and was wondering if it is possible to add the overhead temp-compass package? It was one thing I really wanted but of course the truck didn't have it, I couldn't turn down the great deal the truck only had 11,000 miles on it and it came with the extended warranty. I have a friend that owns a wrecking yard thought he might be able to find me one if it is possible. Figured someone here would probably know.

    Thanks

I think I've read that certain trucks have all the wiring for it, but I could be dreaming. Have you tried using the search function? I'm sure something will come up.

The six lug trucks are supposed to be pre-wired for the sensor.
You can check under the tie bar, behind the left (drivers side) headlight to see if the plug for the sensor is there.

The 5 lug trucks are not prewired.

Do a search, there are a couple of threads with pictures showing where the plug is.

A console out of an 09-10 truck will only work in a 09 -10 truck
05-08 consoles will only work in 05-08 trucks
