Does anyone else have an issue where their temp gauge reads different than actual temp?

When i bought my tacoma used the Overhead temp gauge wasn't working, i had to re-solder the resister back on, but it usually reads about 5 degrees too warm.

this reading is after i have been driving so its not from heat soak from sitting still or anything..
