To make a long story short, I bought some used but "rebuilt" Sway-a-Way 2.0 coilovers form a member on here earlier this year, but when I popped them on the truck - no lift. I have talked to Sway-a-Way, and the suspected diagnosis is sagging springs. The springs are original.

So - I am trying to work things out with the seller, but the coilovers may be going back. I don't have replacements lined up, and so I was looking for a temporary solution. I still have the original shocks and springs, so I was thinking about slopping them back on with something like this on top:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/151755607543?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

I don't have to drive the truck as I have a backup, but I really do not want it sitting laid up until I find replacement coilovers.

Is this a bad idea? Note - I am not proposing wheeling it like this or anything like that. Just want it to be drivable in case I need it. Anyone have another suggestion?

Sounds like you should just get new springs for the SAW's.

Agreed. New springs were not part of the bargain though. If new springs were needed, I would have expected the price of the coilovers to have been discounted appropriately. Seller has offered to refund a little more than 1/4 the cost of new springs.

Save your money and do it right, no point buying spacers just to replace them

Don't know the details of your deal with the member here, but wouldn't they have already been "discounted" compared to new? And how much are the proper springs from SAW?
