Test drove an SR5 DCSB in blue, a Sport DCSB, with the premium package in grey and an Offroad access cab, 6' bed in grey, all 4X4, all V6, today. I was leaning towards the OR before driving all, but have to say the Sport drove real nice , and I really dig the premium package. If I go with a Taco I'm gonna want a DCLB with the premium package, so at this point that narrows my choice down to the sport and off road. Is there a distinct difference in the ride of a DCLB vs. a DCSB? I know the wheel base is longer for the longbed of course, just wondering how much better the ride quality is between the two. The crawl control has me interested as well in the OR. I'm gonna be buying something in a year or so, waiting on the new Jeep pickup to be released and then decide between the Taco, Jeep PU, Jeep Rubicon (we have a 2010). Has the premium package ever been offered on an SR5 model? Any intel on colors coming for 2019?

The long wheel base version on the Offroad provide a more compliance ride in my opinion. I have DCSB OR and my buddy run a DCLB OR. Without a doubt his is more comfortable for a long trip. Mine has better turning radius and maneuverability for trails. The suspension setup for the Sport models offer a stiffer ride and tuned for more on road performance. So it's all depends on what you're looking for.

Get the trd offroad. For one big reason only. The locker. If you plan on offroading that is, sometimes you dont even need to engage 4x4, having the locker can get you through alot of stuff. Plus you can always upgrade to better suspension later

Thanks for the really cool chart. I wasn't asking which model to buy, just inquiring about the ride difference, if any of the SB vs the LB. I have another question though. Does the premium package include the power rear window?

After 2016 they added power to the rear slider on all the double cabs.

When I get a new truck, 1st is get what I want, 2nd is resale. The OR will sell faster and for more down the road.

I stand corrected. The SR5 does not have a power slider.

How did the sales guy take the news of not buying for a year after test driving three cars? Kind of wasted his time.

Just trying to understand the models and options available. I actually apologized before the test drives because I was a bit far off from buying. Salesman was a nice guy. Thanks for the snarky comment though, being you have nothing to add and all.

Oh and I test drove three TRUCKS, not cars. Jeeze.

Again, nothing to add. Not surprising from an attorney. Lotsa stuff coming out, nothing of substance. Now run along.
