Brian sorry to hear brother. I’d be down to hang with you in the parking lot if you can’t go inside the hospital.

I'd like to upgrade from 4.30 to 5.29 gears on my MT. I'm installing a lift this weekend -- should I install the ECGS bushing on my current diff, or hold off? Sounds like you would be building/installing a core, so there would be no point in installing the bushing at this time.

If your gonna add gears I’d wait on the bushing.

Up to you, could easily be done with the gears though

I have cores with the ECGS bushing already in them to trade out

    Hey Brian,

Just posted a thread asking about diff ratios and then saw your thread...

First, sorry to hear about the wife. That sucks and I hope she can fight it off!!

Second, where abouts in CO are you located? I'm in Ouray, but travel up to FR often.

Lastly, my issue is the poor power application in 4High 1st gear. I've never needed to use 4 Low on the entry section of Corckscrew and first time up this past weekend in my '19 TRD Pro I was really discouraged by the inability to travel up that section without dropping into 4 Low range.

Would love your input, advice, and help with this issue.

    Take care!!

    John

    Brian is in Denver.

As far as gearing, if you need to use 4lo dont be afraid to.

    Oof, missed that notification.

    I'm in southwest Denver/Littleton.

Gears might get you a little lower ratio in 1st gear to help with your torque feel but there is no substitute for low range. You're either creating great shearing forces inside the toque converter building tons of heat into the fluid or possibly over stressing the clutch/slipping it to make progress. Don't be scared to mow through the gears in low range when out wheeling. I use low range at the boat ramp.

Well, I get to delete the note from the 1st post about my wife's lymphoma. Still dealing with some after effects of the chemotherapy and radiation. She still has a weak immune system and COP from the Bleomycin, hopefully only 6 more months of extra caution.

2020, fuck you, don't pull anything else with your last month.

Oh, I'm going to be shifting my name over to TFKGarage as the beers and gears was getting too many bicycle hits on the IG due to a real shop with that name.
