    Are you talking about this?

If so, I wouldn’t use that silly thing. It’s a shin smasher plus you can step on your bumper, if needed.

You can get a shackle receiver for $30 (or less on Eby Amz) if you want a recovery point. Note, this is lower profile and doesn’t stick out as far as other versions, so you don’t smash your shins walking around your truck. Keep that in mind.

I actually bought the smittybilt one last week lol, it's pretty cool. Keeps people from getting tailgate friendly on the highway

That’s my thought too I just took out my ball hitch. The TGL one looks pretty nice with the textured top. I’ve got that and the receiver in my cart

Love mine. Never once hit my shin. Have had mine 2 years ...you would have to be un-naturally walking close to your vehicle to even hit it. It’s super easy to put a recovery strap on. I did paint mine since the paint it comes with faded from black. Not to mention the fear factor possibly from other drivers having that pointy thing pointing at them of sorts....

I have the smitty and it's loose.

If you get the TGL, let us know if it's similar. Both are made overseas.

here's my review and I never hit my shins.
