I think it's a Walmart thing or something but the premise is to change one light to green to show your support for our veterans.

Whoever came up with the idea is irrelevant to me, I just thought it was a good way to show support.

Prayers and thanks to all of our American military veterans...

    - For their brave and unselfish service in a continual struggle to preserve our freedoms, our safety, and our country.
    - For every hardship they faced, every sacrifices they made, and for their every contribution to America's dream to one day see an end to terrorism, tyranny, and oppression.

...may they feel how we respect, thank, and honor their efforts and pray that they will be forevermore blessed with peace and happiness.

Change your porch Light to Green on Veterans Day to show our Veterans they are Remembered...

    THE MEANING OF GREEN
Green is the color of hope, renewal and well-being. “Greenlight” is also a term commonly used to activate forward movement. The simple action of changing one light to green is intended to spark a national conversation regarding the recognition of veterans, and “greenlight” them forward as valued members of our communities

While I am not a veteran or have a green light on my porch, I am currently working with the University of Guam, USDA, Guam Office of Veteran Affairs and the Guam Soil and Water Conservation Districts who are conducting veteran and new farmer workshops every Saturday for 8 weeks. We currently have a class of 50+ participants mostly comprising of veterans that are interested in backyard gardening or commercial farming. I am surprised at how many vets are interested in agriculture for sustainability, profit or even just for therapy.
