Thanksgiving day non-traditional dish...

We all have them, what is yours? Tell us what strange dish you have to have on the big T-day...

Mine is Chicken on the spit and some Mexican fried rice...

 

Jello salad..... couldn't even begin to tell you how to make it.

 

Pink stuff. it has strawberry jello mix, coolwhip and who knows what else

 

my mom gets wild rice, fries it in a skillet with bacon, then stuffs the turkey with it

 

Wife and I try something new every year....Last year we did the turkey with a citrus mix stuffing and a mojo sort of glaze.
This year we are frying that fucker!!

Deserts tend to change every year too. This year I think it's apple and blackberry pie...=)

 

Ohhhhhhh....baaaacon...can I come over?

Oh man...you guys are killing me with all this bacon talk. One of my favorite things to do is to make maple bacon and then keep part of the drippings in the pan for making scrambled eggs and pancakes.

Some food is good for your body and some food is good for your soul! Which one lives forever? Feed your soul my friends!

Hahah even on Top Chef the judges consistently comment on how bacon is a winner.

 

We make a jello/pie crust/mandarin orange/whipped cream dessert, and it's delicious!

 

Nice, we have chocolate cream pie that my mom makes from scratch! It's the bomb!

 

Fry 2 sticks of butter 4 garlic cloves and an entire pack of bacon. Cook until bacon is crisp. Then dump green beans in the skillet and cook until soggy (green beans optional).

 

A pile of Maine lobsters! Yumm.

 

sweet potatoe caserole with brown sugar and all kinds of other stuff in it with marshmellows on top....i know it sounds stange but it's good!!!
