Got sick of doing traditional turkey dinners, so six years ago we switched to a traditional Japanese dinner, tons of sushi, sashimi, oshinko, hand rolls etc, just sitting in a pile of pillows on the floor stuffing your face and drinking sake and Asahi. My nephew developed a seafood allergy, and now can't eat it, so everyone else gets deprived of it as well. Grrrrr. Back to dry-ass turkey and gravy with too much salt, 100 fricken degrees in the house, kids yelling, my blood boiling. At least the Lions will be on TV.

    Orange Salad:

Good sweet oranges peeled and sliced in rounds

Drizzle with olive oil, minced garlic.

Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Nope, you just leave them sit and marinate in a casserole dish.

We eat them from fridge temp to room temp usually.

My grandpap Marco from Italy made this all the time.

Smoked two turkeys yesterday. Today we debone them and make smoked turkey and sausage gumbo, deep fry three more turkeys and put at ham on to smoke at midnight.

Add some nice homebrew beer and wine and them watch the Horns beat Aggie...
