Do you have any pictures of them on the truck? As in from in front of it. I wanna see what your headlights look on and off. Mine are dingy yellow.

Hmm tough decision. I hear LOTS of praise about LEDs. Why the satsifaction gap? Also don't LEDs use a lot less of your battery?

I'm guessing that's why you retrofit?

Whatever I get, I want it to be cool white.

    Cool white
    Cool white
I probably would if I had more than a push button radio.
    1. Diff breather relocate
    2. Replacing interior lights with LEDs
    3. Designing a spare tire rack to fabricate
    4. Maintenance

    Why?

I don't have pics of lights from the front.

Also, I haven't seen any LED bulb replacement that hasn't been consistently failing. There are some who have better luck than others, but generally the quality isn't there yet. Add to the fun that when/if your LED bulbs fail, you have to contact the company you bought from and try and get replacements. Say they ship same day, UPS Ground that's 5-8 business days before you get a replacement set. As others on TW have experienced, sometimes the replacements dont work either. Then it repeats.

Not that cool having to keep spare bulbs in your truck for when they fail. If mine fail, I can go anywhere and buy new replacements in 5 minutes. Not only that, but you can buy 3 sets of Ultras for 1 set of LED. My longest running Ultras had 4 years on them and still worked perfectly. So, that's a lot of investment into LEDs that, by and large, don't last near as long - at least so far.

I don't know the DOT legality of LED bulbs to comment about that, either, but IMO the current LED setups aren't worth the money or the hassle. And because major lighting companies aren't on that bandwagon, you have an extremely high likelihood that the company you bought them from and who warranties the bulbs will be dead and gone, which isn't a warranty at all.

If Sylvania went tits up it'd be a real surprise. If Bob's LEDs went tits up, well there isn't a real big shocker there. A lot of companies start up and start selling trendy items, their business goal isn't necessarily to stay in business and become an industry leader. They see a market that is blazing, they see consumers driving demand and lots of cash rolling in, and they jump on the quick money opportunity. Seldom is there a 5 year business plan, let alone a "lifetime" business plan that actually supports these bogus "lifetime warranties."

Our company has been operating 26 years or so, 19 NEW companies have started in that time that were direct competitors in our area, not including existing competitors when we first began. Exactly zero of them exist today.

I'm FAR from wealthy, and investing $150+ in a company on the bandwagon is a bad deal IMO. I'm not bonered up about any company, but FWIW Rigid Industries is a leader in their class, that's a safe investment that they'll continue to be for years to come and offer product development that is solely Rigid.
Will every other LED company? No fucking way.

Anyway.. No LED bulbs for me. Halogen dependability + LED light bar is the only thing I'd run for myself.
