The truck had steelies on it. Not sure if there was any difference in offset. No rubbing, though.

Shift cable replacement, and while you got it off, maybe get the shaft out and lube it up? Unsure of the fix because most guys where taking the trucks back to the toyota dealership. There may be a tsb or recall out?

Just picked up a 14 Reg. Cab 4X4 and wanted to get some opionions on what way to go to get it leveled out and maintain a good ride. It measures 1-1/2” low in the front.
I think i have in narrowed down to Bilstein 5100 adjustables up front set at .85 which would get me pretty close or Bilstein adjustables set at “0” with OME 883 coil springs which according to the chart should bring it up a full 1-1/2”.

I would go with the 0 setting and 883’s. Not much more money, you got it tore apart already, better ride. Get ahold of Headstong Off-road, get them pre-assemble.

3rd Gen suspension levels it out and lifts an inch- couple people here, including myself, have done it. Got complete set off 3rd Gen marketplace for 250 shipped.

I went with 884s on Bilstien 5100 on all four corners with headstrong progressive AAL. Overload leaf is still installed as well. I have BFG KM2 255 85 R16 tires with zero rubbing issues.

I had removed a poly spacer that sort of leveled the front- but really it just gave it serious bro lean. Personally having a slight rake with my current lift is good, once I load up gear to go camping or fishing etc... it looks level. With just a level in the front the rear will only drop down more and the basic leaf pack regular cabs have can’t handle much weight at all.

Do any of you single cab owner have a Double Cardan Joint on your drive shaft? I recently bought a 98 reg cab that has a double cardan joint right behind the transfer case. It's looking like it needs servicing/rebuilding as it has grease flung out all over the place. Have any of you messed with rebuilding one of these? Any one know which U-Joints are used in rebuilding it? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I believe all three gens use 1330 series, my experience is documented here

3rd gen won't quite level it. Mine lifted front and rear because I had a worn out 3 leaf pack that was replaced with a 4 leaf pack. I still have factory rake. Your experience may vary obviously.

Hey does anyone have their single cab seat laying around after a seat swap? I need the feet off of it if you do. I am doing a seat swap and can't find another single cab at the junk yard.

    Yep.
Edit... never looked that close at the bench rails, didn't realize the feet were just bolted on.

You can have the set from mine. Shoot me a PM.

Decided to put the fishing boat in for the season today. It's a 16' Lowe jet tunnel hull with a 94 Mercury 60/45 short shaft jet outboard. It's a great boat for running shallow since the river is mostly rock where we are. The front deck is where I sit in the beach chair and "fish" while enjoying a beer. It's supposed to be in the 70's shortly and I'm ready for it. It was 45 degrees Monday and I was in shorts in the water past knee deep getting my dock put together.
