Cool! So do the turn signals in the mirrors work or even the running lights?
Any advice you can put out for us wanting the same?
    Thanks in advance…

Yes mirrors started out as plain black 2012 pwr mirrors. Bought oem white covers with slot for blinkers and took apart mirrors, added oem blinkers and covers and ran wiring from each blinker thru doors into cab and connected to blinker wiring in driver footwell. I found sequential led blinkers for them online and swapped to those so I have the oems put away. sequential ones come blacked out or silver.

There are pics of both setups in this thread....

I do kind of wonder if someone might make a kit for 3G RC conversion.

No you don’t, Dave don’t go there!
Yes there’s a kit. It’s called get all new exterior sheet metal & parts along with a complete new bed. The cab and doors are the same and I’m willing to bet you need to keep the Gen 2 interior as I was told the seat mounts are completely different from a wrecking yard when I was looking high and low for a set of factory bucket seats for the 05 we inquired. This was half way through gutting the interior just to clean & replaced broken parts of plastic dash including the clear instrument panel bezel. Ours was cracked and at employee cost it was $27 & tax just for a piece of clear plastic. Trust me Toyota plastic and parts are not cheap! That’s because they rarely need to be replaced.
I guess if you found an double or access that a tree fall on the cab or a flood truck. But it’s NOT going to be cheap!

Just started going back together with all new Toyota foam and Katzkin. Katzkin is about half the price of Toyota cloth seat covers…. :der:  Then when you transfer the seats you need to pull and transfer the seat sensors and wiring because *I think* the seatbelts changed or updated almost every year. :notsure:
Oh, had to have the old seat belts re-webbed with new male latches and buy new female buckles for the seatbelts. And I have close to $2k in a pair of bucket seats! :frusty: I had no idea that the seats set outside in the rain for years in Portland. The foam was full of mold = All new foam!

GM does the same thing except worse. They sell the Trail Boss regular cab in Mexico and the Middle East but not in US. But looking at 1/2 ton regular cab prices I can see why. A Ram classic RCSB 1500 with the Hemi and blackout package is nearly $50,000. We all say we want it til it’s time to pay for it. Then it makes sense why they don’t market them here.

I paid cash for two Taco standard cabs already, new off the showroom floor, without hesitation. One in 2000 and another in 2009. Would rather have another 3rd gen std cab than an AC cab.

I’m not interested in a body transfer whatsoever even though dad was an Auto Body-man & painter. So I spent many nights doing bodywork. Actually my first car (74 Pinto) was a total that I had to put a front end on along w/ 302 Ford and drive train from a manual 75 Mustang II & slotted 14” mag wheels from a Maverick. The engine literally bolted right in. I am much more interested in getting this installed!
