Also, while you have the cover open, unplug the 2-wire connector on the ignition switch and it will silence the annoying "key in the ignition" when you have the door open and the key on ACC listening to the radio.

I think, if I remember correctly, he is referring to the problem stuntmanhans had with it. Something about how it was designed for the heavier trucks so it causes the regular cab excessive lift

So yeah you pretty much just saved my life and my wallet. I found his build thread and read up on all of that. the guy at 4wheelparts told me the lift would be fine but the truck would not ride very good on the hwy....I might just throw some billy 5100s on the front and go with an aal in the rear!

Here what an OME with 884 springs and no spacers look like on my regular cab. Not that anybody was asking but I thought this was a prime opportunity to whore a picture out. 2 in. AAL in back has settled and truck sits level now. Rides very nice!

buy a 2nd gen 5lug lug leaf pack. it will give 1.5" of lift and will give you a NORMAL ride and it will flex correctly.

phil dammit is selling one here for less that what a AAL costs. stop buying AALs when you 6luggers are lucky enough to have access to these complete leaf packs for cheap.

    That's badass.

I need to find the lowered thread.
Specs? Tire/wheel combo? Drop? Any rubbing/clearance issues (tire or speedbumps)?

Djm 3/3 drop, 17x9.75 +25, 275/40r17. No rubbing issues at all, I've bottomed out on the control arm mounts a few times but I think my stock springs/shocks are shot. Upgrading to xrunner shocks and xii performance springs sways etc soon.

    Cool.
3/3 is a bit more than I'd like, and likewise on the tires I'd like to stay with something in the 255 or narrower range in a 17 or 18 in nothing shorter than a 55 series.
I'd like a bit more diameter than stock to correct the speedo, and I don't want to kill the ride with a 40 series.

How's Tacoridah's spindle spacer drop been working out for him, or has he moved on to something more?
