I will contact them and see if they price match. Worst than can happen is they say no and I wait.

edit- yep they said no. playing the waiting game to see what sales arrive during the upcoming holiday season.

There is a chance that what they have on the shelf is already REM polished so that'll be extra BUT totally worth it. Call and talk to either Serena or Joey. Actually, Serena may be off to SEMA but Joey should be there

Can someone with 4.88's and 265/75/16r post your engine RPMS at cruise? I'm wondering what they'd be around 65-75.

go back one page to post 147 - they are 285's but it should give you a good idea on 4.88's and highway speed.

@Lord Humongous is running a similar, if not that exact tire size. I am running 285/75-17's, so a 34 and at 75 to 80 mph, I am hovering around 2 to 2,300 rpm.

Dude, I LOVE CO!! Believe me, I would move there in a heartbeat BUT, I have an amazing job here. The plan is however that after a few more years, move up there and work remote. In the meantime, frequent trips will continue to happen.

Its getting bad, Im almost broke.
Its polishing of the gears.....Why does that matter? Generally you have a break in period for the first 500 miles. You should drive it 30 or so miles and then let the gears cool completely and keep doing this until about 500 miles or so. This naturally puts the gears through a heat cycle and basically polishes any burs or machining marks off the gears. With REM polished gears you can skip the whole break in period. I just changed my diff oil at 700 miles for the first time. I had no metal at all in the diff fluid upon inspection. I had REM gears installed

At 80 mph I usually run about 2400 rpms and the truck almost never shifts out of 6th which is nice. The tall 6th gear ratio of .58 allows the truck to comfortably cruise on the highway with the smaller tires and it's a ton more fun to drive around town!

I couldn’t upload a video clip, however, at 60+ mph, the rpm’s were humming along at 2k and it felt as if it was right in the powerband. No gear hunting and I didn’t have to use my SSP.
