I managed to finish my bumper, got it painted and installed 2 fog lights and I got the grill lights wired up. The fog lights are wired into the factory fog light switch

Next project will be replacing the knock sensors and knock sensor wiring harness (not thrilled about that) I would guess mice or rats ate the wiring harness as that seems to be a common theme with the p0333 code
After that I’ll be working on getting a few things on the body fixed by a body shop and then possibly building a rear bumper and prepping the truck for paint

Tackled the knock sensors after work last night
Took a total of 4 hrs to complete the job. It’s a totally different truck now, the power is great, very quick and it’s nice actually having 5 gears
I used genuine Toyota knock sensors and wiring harness and a set of felpro intake manifold gaskets
Torqued everything to spec as well. Most difficult part was removing the coolant pipe, glad this repair is completed!

this was the culprit, one broken wire, I was expecting mice or rats to have chewed it up seeing how it sat in a field for 2 years before I bought it but it appears to just have broke for the tension of the wires being pulled right at almost 180 degrees, I repositioned the knock sensor to make the harness have less of a bend when I reassembled it

Changed my build plan, decided not to lift my truck with the coil overs, so I sold them on Facebook
I ended up scoring a set of bilstiens off a 2021 Tacoma Trd with the coils still attached
Paid 150 for all 4 shocks and another set of stock uca’s

I got my New radio installed! It was a Christmas gift. Sounds awesome and I can listen to music off my phone, very convenient

I also got my new 3rd gen TRD bilstiens installed! 1” higher in the front now and drive so much better. Very pleased with how that turned out
