I'll be home soon and need to look into changing gears. Can anyone recommend a good shop?

I'm specifically looking into rear 4.56 gears either Nitro or Yukon. I know some places charge more if i bring my own parts so hopefully there is a dealer around here somewhere. Otherwise Ill just order from ECGS and save a few dollars.

    Thanks in advance.

yeah i saw that. I guess what I'm looking for is a shop to install it for me. I'll need to look into the GB more. I just don't want to pay a fee for the shop to install third party parts.

Edit: GB prices were too awesome... now all i need is a shop. ;)

There is one in Chatsworth called A&A Off road, I think I'm getting some work done there in the near future, met the guys there they seem really nice. Also, 4 Wheel Specialties on Sepulveda and Plummer (NOT 4wheelparts). My buddy says they are good and seem to be on the cheaper side, never been there though.

Ummm, I just tried calling A&A and it sounded like I called a kid, not a business. Tried again and all circuits were busy. Tried again and it went to vm with no business name. Weird. Have you used them?

EDIT: Scratch that, he called back and was having issues w/ their phones which got forwarded to his cellphone.

I call everyone "kid." Men, women, babies, 90 year-olds. Animals aren't immune from it, either. The kid sounded cool, but I needed my stuff installed quickly so had to go somewhere else. Next time I need something I'm going to give them a try. Lemme know how your experience is!

Hey all in the 818, I roll through the 818 everyday & lived 818 most of my life. I am now 661, but I am looking for a trade local for my back bumper. I have a chrome bumper on my 2012. I am looking for a basic black in trade. I want to cut in some auxiliary lights in to the rear bumper & paint to match the truck. If I do it with the chrome, I have to sand all the chrome off prior to paint. Anyone out there willing to trade? Seems like it would be a waste of a perfectly good chrome bumper. My bumper has no scratches or dents. I am willing to trade for one that is scratched but not dented. Also, if you check my pics, the rear bumper protector is NOT part of the trade. Someone please help. I am getting my lights today for the bumper. I am holding out as long as I can. The lights will sit on the workbench for a couple of weeks till I get or don't get the other bumper.

    Bump for a black bumper.

I see all sorts of Tacomas rolling the 101, 170, 5, 405 & the 14 freeways everyday that have the base model black bumpers. Are none of those people TW members or not want a chrome bumper?

Hi everyone, I used to have 818 as area code, but they forcefully changed mine to 747. But I still live in the valley. Anyway, I have an 06 Tacoma 4x4 dbl cab and planning to lift it 3 inches. Any suggestions to where I can go and get it and what kind should I get? Thanks in advance.
