For all the high tech gadgets being thrown into new vehicles and the attempts by brands to appeal to all people, the Tacoma is still (relatively) simple and clean in its form and function.

It's not trying to pretend to be something it's not.

It's not a crossover touting "off road" capability.

It's not a hauler capable of towing 30k lbs.

It's not flashy, complex, or overdone.

The Tacoma knows what it is, and we (for the most part) recognize that in turn. In my view, it's one of the best things about our vehicles.

I'm getting new falkens next Friday! The old set of falkens lasted 60k+ miles. Can't be mad about that!

What can I say it's my dream truck. I basically grew up in a black OR first gen prerunner that my dad owned and later it became my first vehicle while I was in high school until my dad sold it when I was in college. Recently started my career and my first adult purchase was a 2019 black 4x4 OR. I love that I can use the same vehicle for anything regardless of where I go! I know that it's not the fastest or most sophisticated but I know for sure I'll have a dependable truck for at least 10 years. Plus it satisfies my nostalgic feels!!!

Reading though TW reminds me of something my old platoon Sergeant used to say when the troops would complain about something: “ If I gave you a gold brick you’d bitch that it was too heavy!”

I love knowing I made the best possible choice for our needs.
I feel like a lot of Ford, Chevy, Ram and Nissan owners are looking at the red lights thinking they wished they had one of these too, haha..

I've had lots of older folk stare me down like I was doing something wrong only to say they love my truck, ask me questions about it. One of my best friends' stepdad said it was a sweet truck and the friend had never heard that kind of positivity about a vehicle from him before lol

Just bought a 2019 TRD Off road a week ago and love it! I really don't understand all the negativity; the transmission has been fine and the engine has plenty of power for a mid size truck. I actually plan on doing a 1,000 mile review of it from the perspective of someone who isn't really a truck person, I bought it to meet the needs of my active lifestyle and pull a car to the track...also because it's the best looking damn truck out there.

I like the fact that I have a reliable truck that gets me into the backcountry, and others out! My truck has already been responsible for helping save 1 life back in January. Had to airlift medevac a young woman in a severe off-road ATV accident. Couldn’t establish comms and the victim was in too dangerous of an area for the helicopter. Luckily my friend and I were first on scene, with the truck fully equipped and ready. We were able to treat and stabilize her, and eventually get her to the LZ. Couldn’t have done it without my trusty Taco, it’s versatility, and ruggedness. Other than my DD, it’s now also being built for backcountry response, since that’s where I spend a lot of my time. Turd gens helping save lives. How’s that for positive?

I think your truck looks awesome! Also, acquire cooler friends and neighbors.
