Np plans yet, other than cleaning up the backyard since it looks like Vietnam from the months of neglect ! ! !

 

Went to work yesterday and setup the tent so I could go over a few nuts that keep coming loose (used some loctite to make sure) and also replace some screws in the tent poles that started coming loose.

I also moved the ladder mounting points to the correct distance so I didn't have 15 washers on each side to space it out.

 

Also did the Turkey Creek run with a bunch of TW guys and gals. 12 trucks total I wanna say. Here's my pictures and the damage done from that day.










And then all the damage. If I had sliders and had been smarter I wouldn't have smashed my passenger pinch weld and driver side doors. Also, snapped my tailgate handle off and slashed a tire on the trail.

Finally got around to switching out my center console to one I picked up from a totaled out 03 limited.

First you empty the console and take out the felt bottom. Remove the four 10mm bolts and she pops right out.

Then, you take out the two push pin inserts on either side this lower portion pulls out.

Unplug the two 12 volt plugs and you can toss, sell, or save that old piece. Some jackhole spliced in a 3rd 12volt plug for an ancient Sirius radio setup. Left it all behind though.



Test fitting, lines up pretty nicely for going on an older model tundy.

From the totaled truck came 3 brackets and two air ducts. The air ducts don't line up right at all so I'm not gonna use them. The front most and middle bracket you have to cut away at the carpet to mount them to the transmission tunnel. The front most one I'm not gonna use because I'll be cutting away that section of console to mount a CB (more on that later). The middle bracket I lined up to the holes on the console but didn't cut away the carpet it seemed pretty sturdy and is more for support rather than securing it down.


Rear bracket uses two of the existing holes (rear) from the old console. I didn't have sound deadening material and didn't want vibrations so I used electrical tape for now.

The front holes of the old console aren't used at all and so it just leaves two holes to the ground. So I put the bolts back in.


From there it was easy, it all slides in and bolts up nicely. Matches all the stock limited trim from 01 perfectly. Very pleased with how this turned out, soon I will cut some of the center console so I can mount my CB radio up.

Little update, got a killer deal on a pioneer headunit so now I'm not all slumming it. Thank you to @JTS2014TACO for the killer deal and thank you very very much @Aw9d for the knowledge and pro install help on the HU itself!

And I mounted my air tank finally thanks to a hefty 1" thick aluminium adapter plate @XPOTRPR made me.

 

Comin together nicely! Can't wait to see it with some new shoes and some height!
