The clear coat on my roof is starting to fail, plan of action?

    Looks like a Gen2.5 TRD Sport, but really an '08 TRD OffRoad
    TRD Supercharged / OTT Tuned
    That would have been a no brainer for me too. My roof was toast. A smidge away from panel replacement. I don't know what condition yours is in, but $750 for our area (NorCal) is a pretty fair price if its not a sidejob or under the table.....or Maaco.

    I used Vivvid Vinyl that I bought on ebay. 5 x 15ft roll should be more than enough just in case you mess up.

    I would of said vinyl,but vinyl is a temp. fix so why bother.

    I just got it back and the roof looks perfect again. It's not a Maaco job. There was not rust yet but they sprayed a new base coat then clear coat.

    My roof had the clear coat peeling and I knew it was just a matter of time before other parts started to peel and look like shit. It’s 11 years old and only 103000 miles on it. Never any mechanical problems. I plan to keep it so I got the entire truck including shell painted. Had MAACO do with their best 2 stage paint job. Looks like a new truck inside and out. $2500 including shell.
    It needs a wash job but it looks pretty good in the pic. Had it done 4 months ago.
