Got up this morning and my wifes Zune screen was on while it was in the dock. She gets up and notices it and tries to turn it off.
Buttons do nothing. Get online and Zunes all over the world are frozen.
All 30 gig first version with latest firmware update, HMMMMMM.
Find one guy whos disconnected the battery for a few seconds and cleared it. Had to find a video to figure how to get the sucker apart.
    Battery disconnect worked.
After I fixed it for her she read online that some across the dateline had cleared themselves.
    ZUNE 2K+9?
Anyone else hear of this today?

I can imagine if I didn't have the tools, info, and dexterity to have disconnected the battery that letting it run down would be my only solution too.
Like taking a watch apart to get to the battery with microscopic screws and hidden clips.

thats funny, the other day while i turned off my 120g Zune nothing happened so i had to hold the back button and down buttons at the same time to essentially reboot it. no problems after that, hopefully that was just a one time thing.

Apparently Microsoft forgot to account for the leap year! Kind of hard to believe, but it happened. They are promising a fix by the next leap year in 2012. Heres a link to a Fox News story that explains the issues and how Microsoft responded.

Ipods weren't without their problems in the beginning. Remember the battery issue?
