Yes, but what 295 tire are you running? What wheel? What rear lift type? what rear bumpstop? If you want to go 295 these things all are extremely important. Most combinations simply do not work, only very specific combos will work. For example...some tire won't work at all, wheels with 4.75" backspace or 4.5" bs with 8" wide wheels are prefered over 4.5" bs and 9" wide wheels like mine. A leaf pack that is thicker, a lift block or tall bumpstop is required to limit compression, etc.

Not things understood by even the majority of people on this forum who already have a lift, much less someone getting their first lift.

My cab mount chop is the BAMF chop plate... that is how much it removes. It was close enough it caught on fire while welding... not much clearance there.

I just got the cab mount chop plates from BAMF. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Just FYI, Robert, uhh he changed his damn name here, has 295 mtrs and he rubs the hell out of the front of the rear flares but he can stuff them hard and not buckle anything or pop the flare off. He's got glass fronts though.

edit: whoops 305/70/17 with skyjacker leafs and classic lock 2s

    For wheels:

4.5" backspace 8" moves the tire .5" inward to reduce rubbing on cab mount vs 4.5" backspace and 9" wide wheel.

4.75" backspace moves tire .25" inward vs 4.5" baclspace.

The more you can tuck in the tires without rubbing UCA, the better.

    For UCA:

Stock is the best for cab mount clearance.

Light Racing set to 1 degree added caster moves the wheel less forward.

UNI ball UCA are ususally 2 degree added caster and wost to fit large tires due to moving the wheel the most rearward.

    For tires:

Look at ACTUAL tires sizes. MTs are almost always larger than AT in a given tire size, from a given manufacturer. MT lugs are more likely to rip stuff of or get ripped vs less aggressive AT tread.

For the front, the 4.75" wheels... 8" or 9"? If 8" that is the MOST tucked wheel set up available... mine is the WORST that is still acceptable;however, my wheels look awesome. :)

EDIT: I see they are 8.5" wide, so they tuck the tire an additional .25" vs my 9" rim.

For the rear the Timbres remove a couple inches of travel, which explains how you don't run an axle relocate plate.

Nitto TG... is that Terra Grappler or Trail Grappler?

    Nitto Trail Grappler

    285/70R17 is 33.15"x11.81" My tire
    295/70R17 is 33.54"x11.97"

    Nitto Terra Grappler

    285/70R17 is 32.76x11.50"
    295/70R17 is 33.19"x12.13"

If you are running a Terra Grappler, we have the same tire height and yours is only .3" wider than mine. So yes, THAT tire will fit, especially with your additional .25" backspace pulling the tire in. AND your narrower rim pulls in the tire another .25" so you have even better clearance than I do, even though your tire is wider.
