I think 20th of October. Are you getting powder coated? I've heard that can add a little time.

Also, Phil only told me that my build batch would start in late April. He didn't say when it'd be done. @Overlanerd or @Iggy How long do these things take to build?

For those of you getting Front Runner windoors, it's worth testing whether a single key will work for all of them once you get your Drifter. It is not supposed to be the case but it is for us, which is great since the number of keys adds up.

I have one key that works for all 4 locks on the 2 frontrunner doors, but separate key for the rear window. The biggest problem is the frontrunner keys are absolute garbage trash. The lock barrel they use has this crap plastic keyhole cover that immediately break into tiny pieces and the keys are almost impossible to use. I've been looking for replacement locks since day one.

I've done searches for new cylinders locks a few times without much luck. It's not a typical cylinder lock with a swinging tab on it, but instead it's actually a divot on the cylinder that moves back and forth. I know
aaen mentioned he'd also gone through a couple locks and broken keys. They are even worse in the cold/frozen. Don't know if he found a solution or just replaced them with more of the same from frontrunner. If i find a solution i'll be sure to post it.

EDIT: Divot cylinder isn't the correct term. I guess it's called a mortise cylinder lock, but most are made for household door application.

    Hey guys,
I live in Texas and was interested in purchasing a drifter. I'm currently taking care of my mom post surgery in Stockton,CA and can't really drive to Vagabond even though it's about an hour away. Also I heard the traffic is crazy heading that way. If there is anyone from stockton to the elk grove area that would be willing to show me their drifter that would be awesome. Thanks

Thanks for the info. I ordered mine a few days after you on October 25th. We decided to do the powder coat on the roof only. It makes sense it could take a bit longer with the powder coating.

I can most definitely show you a Drifter. I don’t drive my truck to work but would be willing to meet you in Elk Grove area no problem.

Sorry to hear about your mom. If you can make it to Fremont on Saturday several of us will be there for the Base Camp Truck Meet.

You only NEED half of that. Then you can save up the other half for 8 months while it’s being built. Problem solved.

Four months is plenty of time to sell a kidney and be healed up in time for camping with the Drifter.

This is exactly what I did. Put half down. Pay off credit card right away. Save up the next half in 6-8 months for the next half.

Hey guys, I just met with 916TacoTruck to show me his drifter. The drifter is even more awesome in person and I’m looking forward to ordering soon. Thanks Mike for meeting me in Elk Grove on your day off. I also want to thank MJ for connecting us, jberry 813 for offering to drive to Stockton to show me his new drifter and anomalyTRD for the basecamp info. I wish I could have made it out to vagabond or basecamp to meet all you guys but heading back to Texas tomorrow afternoon. Thanks again for the TW hospitality. Hope to see you guys around.
PS- Mom is doing great post surgery
